How to run a prediction battle night at your pub or club
A prediction battle gives regulars a reason to come in for the match and stay for the result. It works alongside a quiz night or a big screen, costs nothing to run, and the prize can be as simple as a free pint or a meal voucher. Here's how venues set one up.

Pick something your regulars already watch together: Saturday's Premier League games, a Champions League night, a Six Nations weekend or a big race meeting. One event per battle keeps it simple to explain at the bar.
Set a house prize
Put the prize in the battle name so everyone sees it straight away — for example "The Red Lion Saturday Battle — winner gets a free Sunday roast". Keep the prize to food, drink, merchandise or vouchers from your own venue.
- Free pint or soft drink for the winner.
- Meal for two, or a free starter for the top three.
- Reserved table for the next big match.
- The winner's name on a chalkboard until next week.
Get people to join
- Create the battle and copy its short invite link.
- Print the free Pub Battle Kit (poster, table card and pocket cards), write in your battle code and prize, and put it up by the bar.
- Post the link on your venue's social pages and in any regulars' group chat.
- Mention it from the bar before kick-off — picks lock when each game starts.
Keep them engaged during the game
As the battle creator you can post updates that appear in the battle and its chat, such as a half-time food offer or next week's event. Players get them in the app by default and can switch them off; emails only go to players who have chosen to receive them. You can post up to three updates a day.
Hand over the prize
When the results are in, the winner gets a private prize code and QR pass. They show it at the bar, you scan or check it, and mark the prize as collected so it can't be claimed twice. Other players never see the code.
Keep it responsible
Battles are free for players and never involve betting or cash prizes paid through the site. All players must be 18 or over. Keep prizes modest and never require a purchase to enter.
